Method for studying water removal and air penetration during through air drying of tissue in laboratory scale

Energy use, together with consumption of raw materials, machine clothing, and wet end chemicals, are some the most critical aspects in successful tissue making today. This work was aimed at developing a laboratory-scale method estimating dewatering mechanisms, vacuum efficiency, energy use Through Air Drying (TAD) tissue. When compared to pilot data, results new laboratory for investigating during TAD were same magnitude, around 24 26% dryness after dewatering, 27 29% molding. Sheet properties, such as caliper surface profile, evaluated commercial sheets. The indicate that it will be possible precisely measure accurate development penetrated air volume sheet forming molding scale. can contribute efforts implementing circular forest-based bioeconomy by increasing fundamental understanding paper which is facilitated improvements use. developed this make easier assess ideas difficult bring scale or full before learning more capabilities. authors convinced improved knowledge forming, material transport increase efficiency industrial manufacturing processes.
